About Columbia County Community Connections
We are an informal network of individuals throughout Columbia County who are interested in action for the social and economic development of our communities. Participants include individuals from business, government, ministry, social service, education, the arts, and all areas of community life.
In the fall of 2004, Community Connections sponsored a community discovery conference attended by over one hundred interested Columbia Countians. Groups at the conference brainstormed dreams and goals for Columbia County and the results of the conference now form the basis for interest and action in the network.
Columbia County Community Connections holds weekly informal lunch discussions at the Donald W. Reynolds Campus & Community Center at SAU. We invite you to drop in for lunch and conversation at any Friday at Reynolds meeting.
The network uses technology to inform participants about the work of others in the network and to take action on opportunities for individual and collaborative support of community goals. Participants are asked to join the email list and to visit the web site to stay informed and to take action when and where they can.
We welcome input and participation from all Columbia County citizens with an interest in positive action to benefit our county.
